If you are a keen hunter, BAKSTAAN GAME LODGE is the place to be. A large variety of African Plains game (13 Species) is available to the trophy hunter.

A Professional hunter and local tracker will accompany you to ensure that your hunt will be enjoyable and successful. For more information on species, please see the section "The Game".

Hunting for trophy animals at BAKSTAAN GAME LODGE is a favourite activity under dedicated trophy hunters since we have excellent record trophies available.

Bakstaan Game Lodge is 2000 hectares, but we have acces to several tousand hectars in the area.

Bow hunting

Bow hunting has become very popular over the years. South Africa in particular is a haven for the bow-hunter. At BAKSTAAN GAME LODGE hunting is done by either the “walk and stalk” method or by waiting in blinds (Hoch sitz).
